We are organizing Residential and Day Camps for participants 4 to 13 years old. Albitana school is located some 45 minutes away from downtown Madrid in a very natural environment (within an old meadow’s ecosystem). It´s a 60.000 square meters farm with great view on Navacerrada mountain range and Gredos mountain range.
The farm is very safe, green, wooded and full of shaded areas (essential during summer).
Years of experience
Since 1995, Albitana Farm School is organizing, during the month of July, linguistic summer camps in Spanish and bilingual Spanish – English (with leaders bilingual Spanish – English and professionals from England).
During those years we received thousands of kids in a pleasant and safe environment. They improved their knowledge of the rural world, discovered many new aspects of life, made new friends and most of all enjoyed unforgettable vacations.
In an environment totally oriented toward nature the participants enforced their self-reliance, their self-esteem and their social awareness winning experience for the rest of their life.
Through activities and crafts we are back to our roots and culture and we improve our knowledge of customs and popular traditions.
Age-Specific Programs

Specialized in first time in an overnight summer camp
Your child is attending an overnight camp for the first time, we in Albitana will do everything to make it a successful adventure of a lifetime. Our leaders (all graduated in various education fields) day after day will look after the first time participants, ensure everything goes well and inform the management in case of difficulties. The school management (all graduated in social education and sociology), starting with the coordinators, will manage the difficulties and inform the parents if needed. Our success with first time participants is our great pride.
Programs for the youngest participants
We treat with very special attention the youngest participants and all activities (crafts, sports, multi-adventure, games, and animations) are adapted to their age and possibilities. Leaders and management (coordinators) will constantly supervise, during the entire camp, the development of the activities and will adapt the program consequently.
Programs for older participants
The programs the leaders and coordinators designed are thought for participants of different ages (from 4 to 13 years old) and picked up in the list of more than 50 activities Albitana offers. Activities for older participants are related to nature, the rural world, culture and tradition, sports, multi-adventure and crafts. At night soirees and games are diverse and funny.
Programs Bilingual Spanish – English
Bilingual Spanish – English camps are partly in English (group activities are realized speaking English). Each group will have a bilingual Spanish – English leader from Albitana team (we are bilingual center during the school year) assisted by English professionals.
Programs in Spanish
Spanish camps are oriented toward participants willing to advance the skills, disposition and knowledge of Spanish language. All workshops and activities will be realized in Spanish and leaders will only use Spanish language to communicate with participants.
The purpose of all of our linguistic summer camps is to have kids practicing and learning languages living practical situations, but still we remember that camps are vacations and a reward to the kids for their good work during the school year. With the participants we live real life situations and tell them the way to manage real life cases. We only use simple vocabulary and structures they understand and know still ensuring that summer means, for the participants, joy and plays.
Kids are regrouped first by age and then depending on their language knowledge at the beginning of the camps. Groups of participants are always small.
When organizing the summer camps we specially work the multi-cultural environment aspects and for that reason kids from all over the world are welcome and enjoy their stay. Last years we received participants from Belgium, China, France, Great Britain, Morocco, Norway, New Caledonia, Russia, Senegal, Ukraine and United State…
Day Camps Program
Day camps participants (not staying overnight) join their friends staying at night, for breakfast, and will share activities until the time they leave (normally 17:00).
Our Goal
Our goal is to provide the participants with the perfect and safe environment for them to discover new aspects of life and grow happily in a place different from home and school. Our programs are full of activities allowing participants to develop talents on issues new for them, related to nature, animals, arts and crafts, sports… Our last goal is for participants to increase self esteem, independence and social abilities. It must be an unforgettable experience they will remember for the rest of their life.
Quality
All activities are supervised by Albitana leaders, qualified, trained and motivated to realize a high quality work. Participants with or without previous experience of camps are constantly receiving the best possible treatment.
Health
Albitana leaders and coordinators were trained at treating health issues and allergies / intolerances. They are all prepared to follow, 24 hours a day, some very strict acting protocols in case of emergency. Coordinators are the ones keeping informed the parents, 24 hours a day, in case of worrying health issues.
Five minutes away, there is a public Health Center in Brunete (less than 2 kilometers from Albitana) with doctors and nurses and an Emergency 24 Hours center in Villanueva de la Cañada (less than 4 kilometers). For major issues we address the very modern Puerta de Hierro hospital in Majadahonda (15 kilometers).

All leaders are professionals graduated in various education fields, with many years of experience, and are part of our team working all year long in our center. The leaders working in the camps are specially selected for their knowledge in education and are trained on issues such as security, health, activities or woekshop related to nature). All of them went through the legal screening of their background working with kids.
All day long day our leaders monitor and guide the kids, prepare for them the activities, help them during meals, supervise games and free time and ensure the rest times and health. The leaders will also manage issues appearing with coexistence.
For the bilingual – English Spanish camps all professionals and leaders are experienced in education and working with children. Our team will help the participants and ensure they develop interest in activities and the languages by creating the right communication environment

Bedrooms

Swimming pool
Our swimming pool is large and attended all the time (guard on duty all day long). It´s an important part of the camps´ life during the hot summer days and we planned one activity in the swimming pool daily.
During summer, in Brunete during the day it can get very hot but at night we usually enjoy cool weather (we are close to the mountains). The fresh and clean air we enjoy makes Albitana the right place for a summer camp.

We work with organizations running summer camps. Our facilities fit all groups and activities needs, without architectural barriers and perfectly suitable for people with physical disabilities. Through our own kitchen and team we adapt menus to all types of allergies, intolerance and religious beliefs.
